Congratulation I just noticed that your posts have gone past 10 grand.
Shouldn't you be getting a life by now? :) I can't speak for everybody, but
thank you for all the inspiration and help you've given me in these forums.

Come on Rothrock, he is a mathematician... what sort of life do you think he
could possibly have... I visited his site once... then researched some of the
things he has written... doesn't look like he has had a life for a long time
now...

And I think that his help has far exceeded simple calculations.

:)

Well I have a math problem I am wondering if kglad can solve. I noticed that a
year ago kglad responded to an average of 7.04 new threads per day and was just
over 6000 posts. Now he has gone over 10,000 and is about 10 threads per day
(not sure of the exact number). Anyway, the trend is definitely up. So -
given the parameters that there are, on average 44.8 new threads per day on
working days and 14.3 new threads on weekends (let's ignore holidays) and that
9.87% of the time overall these threads will involve arrays, random() or
setInterval, if kglad maintains a constant slope of the number of threads per
day trend line, and the target is 20,000 posts, how many days will it be before
his wife divorces him? :) Yes, thanks for all your help, patience and
guidance. You have definitely improved my meager skills in Flash.

Kglad - I wanted to say the same. (and I selfishly wanted to be the first -
different time zone here) Thank you very much. I have a little comment on my
site to say thanks like I said I would. (not that anyone cares about my site)
but Thanks a lot.

You are a fine human being and your perseverence and commitment to your craft
has really changed the lives (all be it relatively) for many of us.

If I was fortunate enough - I would buy you a leer jet or something. Alas, all
I can say is cheers. You will always be remembered! I seriously think you
deserve a free copy of 8ball from the Macromedia peeps when it comes out, for
your oustanding contribution to these public forums. I'm a normal hot blooded
male - but I'm gonna give you a big huge kiss anyway.....just don't tell the
ladies............:lips; :rose; :heart;

my wife will never divorce me because i'm worth too much (money) married to
her. lol. well, maybe she would but not because of the time i spend on the
forums. i've actually done quite a lot with my little life and continue to do
quite a lot.

if you saw how much time i spend playing counterstrike and the number of clan
websites (all flash, of course) i've made you'd find that i spend more time on
computer gaming than anywhere else in recent years. far more time spent
gaming than on the actionscript forum.

besides this forum actually is therapy for me. i love to learn and the
learning is still easy with flash. this is very enjoyable and rewarding.

the learning with math requires quite a bit more brain commitment from me and
is therefore less enjoyable than flash learning. it's deeper, but much harder.
and it's not amenable to a few minutes attention here and a few minutes there.

and the learning with medicine isn't quite as rewarding as it once was. the
facts in medicine change with time. you can't count on too many absolutes in
medicine. and i find that unsatisfactory. and i only have to spend about 25
hours per year learning to meet my continuing medical education requirements.

most importantly, thanks guys. being appreciated never gets tiring.

you are obviously very clever.
I'd like to check out your sites at any time if you feel like throwing any
urls our way.

Funnily enough I can relate to the games side. I was into Delta Force Land
Warrior for 5 years and now let my hair down usually an hour a night/morning
before bed playing Joint Operations. Used to love Counter Strike - until I
couldn't keep up with the cheats - although I sure had fun trying!

As for medicine. I did a 3 month Ambulance Technician course with London
Ambulance, but that's hardly your calibre and doesn't have much to do with
medicine. It's like a paramedic without the authorization to insert a tube or
induce drugs other than Glucagon or Glycogen if I remember correctly. (I forget
the name of the tube).

Respect to you and I hope you continue to enjoy the journey and receive as
much as you give too.

i saved some of the sites i created and i think the following is the order in
which the web sites were created. you can generally determine my competence
with flash with time:

www.gladstien.com/BBH // first web sites created starting in 2000. this is
the final version of BBH made in 2002
www.gladstien.com/1337
