What are you talking about? What do you mean by "movie clip button"?
Do you mean a movie clip symbol coded to respond to mouse events?

Movie clips don't respond to mouse events unless coded to do so.
Buttons don't really respond without code either, unless you cound the
cursor change (from arrow to hand). Need more (clearer) information from
you.
