:confused; I am new to flash and am trying to create a link from a button to
launch an executable (setup.exe). How do I accomplish this? I have gone to
the support page and it mentions the on (release) { fscommand ("exec",
"anyexecutable.exe"); But I cannot get it to work right. Once I click on it,
it does nothing. When it states to put the fscommand folder in the same
directory that the projector, is the "projector" they are referring to the
*whatevername*.swf or is there something else I am missing. I am using Flash
MX Professional 2004. I have tried clicking on the button after setting it and
it just sits there and does not do anything. It showed no script errors
either. All executables are properly placed according to the website. Any
assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks

the executable should be into fscommand subdirectory... think thats
all.

you cant execute any file out of that directory.

:confused; I was able to get one of the buttons to launch, but can't get the
other. I have even gone in and created a duplicate of the one that is working
and then swapped out the picture for the correct, then switched out the
buttons. I then reconfigured the exe command and it still won't launch the one
button. Can someone help?

:D, I ended up fixing this by duplicating the working button as another name,
swapping the image for the correct one, and then deleting the other button from
the library. Once that was done, it launched as expected.
