Greetings! I have a question regarding preloading a swf file. It's quite different from your tutorial though can't get what should I've done in this case. Here's what I'm doing. I have the main time line that controls all the preloding. In this main time line, I have a window UI component. I use this window UI component and its contentPath property to load the .swf file. However, I can't use or have a preloader, what should I have done in this case? Do I have to create a preloader on my main timeline, as well as on the timeline of each swf file that I have to load in the window UI component? Please guide me with a code or explanations. Thanks a lot, I'll be looking forward for an answer. God Bless Regards, Capser
Not quite sure what you want the preloader for: the main movie or the .swf files you are loading. peace
Hi rboone79, Sorry to confuse you. Here's my question again, how can I have a preloader, wherein my movie has three window UI components which I use to load all my external swf file (I use the contentPath property to set the file location and the name of my swf file). What should be my code here??? I tried preloader codes like testing the getBytesTotal and getBytesLoaded but for no success. Is there any special code for the window UI component that I did not know yet? Coz from what I observe as I choose to simulate the downloading using the bandwidth profiler, my preloader does not work, it will just appear when all are already loaded and it will just prompted you with 100% ????? If you could provide me a working sample, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
