I haven't tested PHPObject, but if you're interested in working with
Flash, PHP and MySQL, you might be interested in the book I've recently
published, "Foundation PHP 5 for Flash". You can find more details on my
site at http://computerbookshelf.com/php5flash/.

I'm trying to use PHPObject to communicate with a mySQL database, hopefully it
will work.
In the read me it says i need to install the PHPObject_AS1.mxp or
PHPObject_AS2.mxp files, I dont understand how to accomplish that, can someone
explain this step to me, thanks.

I really need to make my Flash file communicate with the database, upload and
retrieve data, and if possible upload images to the server (not the database).
Can PHPObject do all that?

I found this on Oracle's web site and maybe it can answer your question of how to install the PHPObject -- After installing Flash, you should also find a shortcut to "Macromedia Extension Manager" in the folder along with the Flash shortcut. Launch this application, and select File->Install Extension... .Navigate to where you've extracted the PHPObject install file, and select PHPObject_AS2.mxp. Now your Web server and development environment are ready.
