flash actionscript: What is your frame rate .. if it is low, then movement will be jumpy. Also
if you're moving a lot of / large images around, or objects with alpha<100%,
then Flash Player is not very good at that and does tend to slow things down
... also making things jumpy.

Hello, Jeckyl.
The problem only occurs when we use the full screen mode. I think a lot of
vector images make the computer crashes its performance and the movement become
slower. I don't know if we have a work around for this. Maybe I have to keep
the image smaller and make a frame around it. Or give to the user the option to
enlarge the image. What do you think?
Thank you.

Marcelo.

Hello.

I'm making a flash project that is a small vector city. There I have o lof of
buildings that must be all as vector images, because my flash will be full
screen. My problem is every move I make there looks like a little jumpy. I
can't get smooth movements on the cars, the train and the airplane. I've tried
make the animation using the timeline and in a couple of actionscript scripts,
but the result I have is always that jumpy movement. Who of you are the guru to
give me the solution? I'll be very pleased about.
Thank you very much.

Marcelo.

If it's possible for you, bitmaps might be faster.

BTW, if you have some patience, you can wait for the next Flash player
(autumn. 2005)? I saw at the MAX this year performance will improve
incredibly when it comes to moving static vector images.
