(I posted this in another forum but I think it belongs here. Forgive the double
post.)

Okay. This is getting really frustrating. I can't get my text to animate. I
can make it slide and change size, but as soon as I break it apart I can't make
it do anything.

I break it apart twice so that I can treat it like a graphic, and then make it
into a movie. I've tried following instructions from several tutorials. The
best I can do is morphing it into a really ugly shape. As soon as I elongate or
stretch it in any way the animation line turns into a dotted line. Nothing I
have done has worked. I know the answer must be really simple but this is just
not working for me.

I am trying to animate the capital letter of a word. The word slides in, then
the capitol letter animates, then the word slides in the rest of the way. I?ve
tried so many variations I have really gotten burned out.
