Hi, i am trying to create the ususal flash photo gallery with thumbnails that
follow the mouse and when you click the thumbnail a large version appears, can
someone point me in the way of a good tutorial for this effect?

Depends on how much you know how to do.

Are you planning on the artist or you inputting the images? Do you want to be
able to update the gallery without republishing your flash file? If so, does
each piece need to have info attached? (title, size, medium, sold, etc).

If you're just planning on updating the flash file yourself each time new
photos are added, then you're looking for simple stuff, and thats all over.

If you're planning on being able to update the site w/o touching the flash
file each time, you're looking for flash/XML or flash/PHP tutorials.

if you're planning on being able to update the site w/o touching the flash
file AND each photo has information that needs to be attatched, you're looking
for a flash/database (or some simalar method) tutorial.

Make sense?

yeah, you won't need any fancy-pants server crap. Go do the kirupa.com
tutorials on photo galleries.

To figure out the first part (the thumbnails following the mouse) you'll have
to find a separate tutorial, but a basic photo tutorial is a great start (on
the above link).
