flash actionscript: Hi there

I am trying to set up a picture gallery. Each page will hold 9 pictures. When
you click on a picture (currently a thumbnail) it expands over the rest of the
pictures so that its clear. Then when its clicked again it returns to original
size.

I don't want the animation to take place in scene 1 it needs to take place
independantly for each picture. The frames in scene 1 will be additional pages.

I can get the animations to work without a control, but as soon as i put a
button over them it stops working?

Does any one know the solution or a tutorial that explains how to do this?
