Hi forum

I need to create a QuicktimeVR like efffect of a Room . all drawings - no
photos. I guess photos would be plan B ;)

Right now my plan is:
- create the room in some 3d program like lightwave...
- place the camera in the center of the room and rotate it slowly
- eport individual jpgs
- stich the jpgs togeter in photoshop
- import that and create a simple infinite slider in flash...

how does that sound?

It's not the easiest thing ... does anyone have a better solution?

Any help appreciated.

thanks

stephan

Not sure on the stitch together in photoshop part.

Are you planning to just have somebody stand in the middle and spin? Why not
just put successive views every 10 degrees (or 5 or whatever) or so, put them
as keyframes in a movie then use the slider to move the current frame.

hmm Interesting. You're not a stiching fan... I can see that it could turn
into a pain.

Yes the view will be from the center of the room looking at the walls.
Spinning around to show the room basically.

I'm a little worried about performance with your solution. but I'll make it
Plan B and the photos Plan C...

I was thinking of cropping the image so that the distortions are not really in
frame. I guess it will require some photoshopping...

or another way of doing it is to minimalize the distortions by placing the
camera in a circle outside of the room. circeling around the room and taking
walls that are in the way out when taking a snapshot... don't really know to
be honest, I will need to talk to a 3d guru about that... :)

Thanks for your thoughts by the way. I appreciate it.
