flash actionscript: I am struggling to test an ad built in flash 8 but saved as flash 4 to meet the
distributors spec. i have read the technote
http://www.macromedia.com/go/tn_14192 and downloaded the sample files. BUT
still can't get the destination URL to open up in a separate window on release.
despite careful editing of the html in dreamweaver 8 in accord with the tech
note.

Has anyone tried the sample files at http://www.macromedia.com/go/tn_14192
and had the same problem?

Can anyone help me with a way of testing the ad. ....yes, i am using the HTML
publish setting with FS. I am confident the action script which is straight
forward is correct but my concern is establishing that the published settings
for the swf and in particular the "network playback" is correct when using the
FS command. Normally I use getURL.

The answer is simple, as always when you know it!
To test them I have to place the files on a webserver due to the enhanced
security of flash 8........if only the technote had been updated to reflect
this simple requirement.

Anyway thanks to Jens on the helpdesk i have the answer and the advert tests
fine..huraay!
