how do you set the vieable size for a movie?

For instance, I have a movie clip that is smaller than the root movie, but I
don't want to see all the extra "work space" content of the movie clip, just
the content within a specified width and height. Is this possible? what
commands do I use?

There is no setting or command for this, but you can of course easily mask off
the rest in the root movie. I don't know whether Flash 5 supported mask layers,
but if that's not available then use sort of a "picture frame" on a higher
layer.

hmmm... ok, ill look into that. The problem is that I don't want to mask off
the background, just an "invisible" mask that hides content of the movie clip,
but not the background info

Sigh... Thanks for the help though
