ok kglad i am posting the link for my .fla
now i am facing another problem i have made another movieclip and created new
dulicated movieclips in it and then tryied to mask that movieclip and now the
text field in duplicated movieclips is not showing.
i have used the code which you pasted in the reply to update the text field.
rollno is the text field.
