Probably a simple answer but...

When i try to add text to my sting and show it in my textbox like

mess.htmlText = newtext + '<br>' + mess.htmlText;

so that the newly added text is at the top of my screen the old text loses its
spacing and line breaks from before.. i.e.

what i want it to do


New Junk 4
New Junk 3
New Junk 2
New Junk 1

what its doing

New Junk 4
NewJunk3NewJunk 2NewJunk 1

any idea of why this may be?
