flash actionscript: Ive followed this tutorial to the letter.

Now at the start of the tutorial it uses the page dimensions of 525 by 200
which means for this tut the problem is not present..

Ive taken this tutorial and done it on a bigger page so where i have my MENU
at the side with the 6 buttons theres tons of space below it and above it.

The problem is how ever upon running the completed scene <menu movie etc> as
i drag my cursor towards the menu it activates at the correct time BUT it
activates all the way up the side of page. Ie if menu at top of page and i
bring cursor across bottom of page where there is nothing it still activates
the menu which idont want..

So is it possible to assighn a box area of where it can activate menu buttons
and where it can not? idealy i wana say to it only activate the menu buttons if
i scroll within the area of my menu bar PERIOD as apposed to being if im
anywhere left of page top or bottom activate ... hope this makes sense anyhelp
