Do you have your Actions panel "pinned" to the main timeline?

In the main scene timeline, I've made a top layer called actions. Then I put
all the script in a frame on that layer. Works well..... But now something
seems to have changed. When in a movie clip, I select a frame where I want to
put script just for that movie clip and then hit f9 it takes me to the main
scene's actionscript.

I can't add stop() and such to movie clips because it is changing my main
actionscript code back in the main scene's script frame. If I do type any
script in the Actions area it does not put a little "a" in the frame, it just
changes the script back in the main scene's frame where the the bulk of my
script is.

Suggestions of what is up?

Sounds like you might have the main timeline script 'pinned'. Looked at the
bottom of your actions panel... to the far left is the selected frame script,
but to the right you can 'pin' specific frames so you can edit it from anywhere.

OK, they didn't looked pinned, but when I toggled the stick-pin it seems to correct it.
Thanks, I did not know about the pin option.
