flash actionscript:
I am interested in learning how to do some of the flash animations on this site http://www.net32.com/n32content/ec/intro/net32-intro-online.html in particular the part where you get a soluiette(sp) of the person, and then a back and white version and finally a colorized version. I have seen that effect on multiple flash sites. Is this done witha special filter? Please advise...
I am familiar with masking but am not exactly sure how this was done using masking. please elaborate. I know they brought in the three images from photoshop into flash, but that is where I would get stuck :-)
position the images in separate layers and position them to lie directly over each other. add a movieclip mask to each image so you have 3 masks. now, by controlling the movement of the masks you can reveal the silhouette, b&w or color pic to suit your needs.
when you say add a movie clip mask do you mean add a shape and make into a movieclip then a mask or take the images, drag instances and make them into a movie clip and then mask them over the originals. Also do the three images (colored, b/w, silo need to be movie clips? thanks
the images do not need to be movieclips. for each image you'll create its mask in the authoring environment to be the shape you want. (the cited website used rectangles.) then you'll convert the shape into a movieclip. repeat for each image. if the images are exactly overlapping you'll create the effect of the cited website by controlling the movieclip masks.
