Best give you an idea what i want. I am working with a charity who want to
satrt a "club 100". What i need is a way of getting a 100% electronic randon
number and date checker. i have tried looking at HTML/some form of script
(php, java, etc...) bt no look. I am wondering if it would be easier to use a
script/code such as HTML and how i would go about this or to use Macromedia (i
think marcomedia bt it may not be posible or may be easier another way).

Could anybody help me? If above makes no sense - it is a random number that
changes each week. It needs to remain the same throughout the week and needs
to be made so that once it is set up it needs (pritty much) no editing.
(baiscly so no-one can be accused of cheating by changing the
program/script/coding)

what do you mean when you say cheat-proof?

i mean i could determine the random number. and so could anyone with knowledge
of flash unless you use as3.

at least for the moment, i dont believe there are any good as3 compilers
available. that may not be true and certainly won't be true in the next few
months.

once as3 compilers are available, your application will not be secure even if
you use as3. but for the next few weeks you may be ok.
