Develop on an as400 machine using .NET? Is it posssible?

Is there any third party provider that has RPG .NET??

I don't know about RPG.NET, but IBM provides a native .NET data provider
with V5R3M0. We are using it for querying the database.

so If I have an Iseries I should have that provider? where is it and how can
I install it?
DO I need to install something on the iseries? on the developer machine?


I dont know anything about it.
I jut want to make ASP.net apps to the db2 database efficiently because
odbc is a hell.

The Mono project has brought an open source version of the .NET framework to
other platforms. There was some talk of creating an AS/400 port some time
ago, but I don't think much progress has been made on this.
