I think the summary may describe the problem but - I'm doing a page where a
product diagram allows the visitor to select a product group. This selection
brings up a swf that lists the products within the group and allows the visitor
to drill down. Right now I have a different swf for each product group. I'd
like to get to a point where the clicked link tells the swf which data to use
from the xml therefore using the same swf for all product groups...

The setup right now is very simple - within the swf there are is a product
list in a combo box and some text in other text boxes. An xml connector and
trigger are the only components.

You can setup a function to load the XML-data and pass it a parameter like
'xml_path' which obviously passes a string like products.xml
When a user clicks a product group the mc passes product_group.xml to the
function and the correct data is collected. You can setup the function to
accept more parameters and this way you can also play the right mc (within one
swf) to diplay the data.
