I'm looking for a strong step-by-step tutorial that can step me through setting
up a connection to a mysql database via ColdFusion, PHP, or some other product,
from a Flash MX 2004 front-end. I'm looking to create a marketable Flash front
end application using a mysql backend. I have ColdFusion MX 6.1 and am somewhat
familiar with it, but if PHP or some other application is better, I'm open to
it.

The application I envision will likely involve anywhere from 2 to 50 users in
a typical installation, although the posibility of clients with potentially
dozens to hundreds of locations, each with 25-50 users, is also a posibility
down the road.

I've found the tutorials at Macromedia.com only somewhat helpful. Most don't
work in MX 2004, you need just MX. Also found that they give the steps, but the
description of why and the bigger picture is missing.
