flash data integration: Hi all

I have a datagrid and a data provider, I'm not completely sure what the
dataprovider does that the datagrid can't do, but followed the help file
anyway (could anyone explain that one please?)

I would like to be able to sort the grid by clicking the header (It does
this automatically), and then be able to leave the page and the grid
disappears, but when i come back to the grid i would like it sorted as
before.

How would i go about this?
