flash data integration:
Hi,

Could somebody please advise me on the myth that you shouldn't really have
flash files in intranet pages.

We are building an intranet for a very large firm and the pages are made in
ASP.

Many thanks

Paul

Hi Paul,

There is nothing as such as now days inter net applications are moving
toward RIA and thus Flash takes teh driving seat. How ever we should
keep in mind one thing is that the compiled Flash files (.swf) are
download at client machine to be able to run on their browser. So user
has access to the swf and with the help of decompiler people san learn
about your business logic if you add that to your Flash.

So take decision based on the kind of application your are developing.
If it carry a sensitive information then should should not put your
logic is the flash file.

Hope this helps

Good Luck

Not sure why you could not use Flash for an intranet app. Many companies
having large internal staff systems have begun in the last 12 to 18 months
to use Flash for the next versions or revamping of those applications.

Howdy,

The organisation I work work, employ large scale Flash apps for Internal
Training and Information.
These apps are used on a global scale, for around 25K people.

I know of no issues....

Cheers
