flash data integration : Flash Data Text - Format Loss With IE

If by loss of formatting you mean fonts then if you are not using embedded
fonts, you are depending on the OS to provide the font and thus font rendering
should be considered unpredictable - but still I would think it would do it
the same way each time.

You may need to isolate the swf and the XML loading together and load on their
own with a button to reload to debug.

Hi - Thanks.

It seems that when I return to that file the action script formatting is not
looked at.

So you are saying I should just load up in a separate html page the swf file
with the xml and test it out? Is there any actionscript that makes it recheck
or recache the format.

Thanks!

So I tested out/isolated the file and whenever I refresh the page it loses the formatting.

I have a website that is all flash. I have a main file that loads in the nav
and then the nav loads in the designated .swf file for each section. So there
are several sections(.swf's) with lots of text taken from a database and
inserted into the swf file from an XML file. If I click in between sections,
and go back to the original section of text the formatting is lost. This is
only in Internet Explorer 7- this does not happen in Firefox or on the Mac. Any
help would be greatly appreciated.. This seems like a major bug.

Not sure why just in IE this would be happening.

I do not think it is an XML issue or data communications issue.

May want to republish this in the Flash Actionscript forum and you can get
more feedback.

Plus you have a nice isolated example to target the feedback.
