flash ad development: I am trying to use the External Text MX Flash component (by Kamran Riaz). I
followed the extension instructions and dragged the component on the stage.
Then I created a text file and put it in the same directory as the FLA file. I
set the File Name parameter to this file's name.The rest of the parameters seem
to be clear and easy to set, except for Page Variable parameter that I don't
understand. Without changing Page Parameter from the default, I try to play my
flash movie. It opens the space for the text on the stage, but is unable to
access my text file, and puts the message:'undefined' on the screen. Anybody
had this problem, or could help me with it? Do you know how the external text
file should be prepared, and where it should be placed? What is the Page
Variable parameter and Text Select parameter, and how to set them? Appreciate
your help on this Bijan

I dont know if this helps, but I had a similar problem. Then I discovered that
I hadn't named the component. This is done by selecting the component, then in
your properties panel there is a text box above where the component dimesions
are. Enter a name. This should link into your action script. It worked for me.
