flash ad development:
Hello,
I've been working in the online advertising space, frequently in ad
trafficking, for 7 years now. Almost daily I have to execute a Flash file in a
campaign element, and I have had so many consistent problems that I thought it
would be best if I pointed them out to Macromedia and to the community in
general. My hope is that you will update the tracking guide, so that we might
relieve some of the unnecessary work that I and others in my position
consistently have to suffer through. It is a painful task to debug these
issues, and sending ad units back to advertisers causes constant confusion,
conflict and cancellations.

variables are case sensitive and I do get a lot of ads where the variables are
mis-capitalized and I have to try all kinds of different cases in an attempt to
find what the designer used. To further complicate the matter some ad servers
have this variable hard coded into their systems and they cannot change it to
match some oddly made SWF. The single most destructive problem in this media
space right now is that one of the larger players, Doubleclick.com, has
documentation on their website with ?clickTag? conflicting with EVERYONE else
in the space.
Can you guys A) update the screenshot to avoid ANY ambiguity in your standard
and B) work with doubleclick to get them to be on the same page?
