flash ad development: Hey everyone,

I've seen on several sites where flash was incorporated into the site and if
the user didn't have an updated plug-in there was an image in the background
that would show instead. This was done without a browser detection file and two
seperate homepages. The code was built into the page. I was wondering if anyone
has any info on this: whether it was done with Javascript or PHP or whatever.
Are there any sites that might have tutorials on this kind of a setup? Any help
would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Jeff

This can be done in JavaScript. The code is already written for you my
Macromedia. In your HTML publish settings, select detect Flash 6 (or
the version you want to detect for), and it'll give you the code. You
may have to add in a clause about showing an image if the plugin
version is not available.
