macromedia flash flash remoting:
I am really struggling to use flash remoting with a dbase and the charting
components. Does anyone have an example that they can share in which you use
remoting via a cfc to query a dbase and then populate one of the charts with
the results (dynamically). I have looked through many of the various flash
websites and have not found anything. I am using Flash MX 2004 Pro. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

Nate Weiss has an example in a book he wrote called "Flash MX Professional
2004 for Server Geeks" that might have what you are looking for. If you
were to find the web site and down load the examples, Chapt 9 probably has
something simular to what you want. The book is excellent and with support.

Why not use CFChart directly in a CF page rather than take it into Flash,
because it can generate Flash based charts

Paul,

Thanks for the reply...I already have this website set up in Cold Fusion and
Dreamweaver and I am using cfchart. I am looking to change the website into
Flash to limit the page refreshes and have been trying to migrate this
application to flash and I am really struggling. I have not seen any real good
documentation or tutorials using remoting and some of the components such as
charting and populating this dynamically. Do you have any ideas or suggestions?

-mike

Sorry but I have never created any charts in Flash so I can not be of much
help.
