macromedia flash flash remoting:
i have installed flash mx 2004, the remoting components, and remoting for .NET
numerous times now and still have the same trouble. Remoting fails to work in
any case. I have used tutorials and walkthroughs from this site and from the
built in documentation, none of which have worked. In particular,

http://www.macromedia.com/devnet/mx/flashremoting/articles/intro_flremoting_net.
html
gives me an error while attempting to locate "NetServices.as". this file does
not exist anywhere on my machine, even after installing the components and
taking every step ive found on this site for the installation. the only
instance of this file ive ever seen is in the flash remoting source code which
i recently downloaded. this file does not work either, though i may not be
placing it in the correct location when ive tried it.
in several places i have seen mention that these files are located in
configuration/include. there is no such file on my machine. the components
installer creates a folder called "first run" and fills it with numerous files,
but not NetServices.as.
my installtion is located at C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Flash MX 2004
in there is a folder called "en" in which "configuration" and "first run"
reside.
i have placed an "Include" folder at C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Flash MX
2004\en\Configuration\Include and placed the NetServices.as file i found in it,
which does not work. Flash does see this file, but the file yeilds numerous
errors, most of which pertain to other missing as files. with some digging
around online, ive located and placed these in the folder as well, but i still
recieve an error with netservices.as, something having to do with declaring
classes, line 22 in the netserices.as file.

i would like to know where in the installation im going wrong. if im missing
some installation step or installer, please let me know. any advice on this
matter would be appreciated as macromedia's documentation seems to be quite
lacking in the matter.

thanks
Jeremy wood

You're using the AS2 components or AS1 components? If you're using the new
components, see Flash Remoting help into Flash Help Panel to see the new
documentation of Flash Remoting.....

Verify if the Flash Player 7 version is defined in publish settings....
