macromedia flash flash remoting:
I have recently installed FlashMX2004 and Visual Studio .Net, I have Flash
Remoting on our server at work, and installed the components, the compnents for
..net, the updated components for AS2.0, I then installed the .NET SDK, IIS is
up and running; yet, when I try to run examples out of Tom Muck's Flash
Remoting book, I get an error stating that I cant connect to gateway.aspx. I
have read posts regarding the subject, I modified the wwwroot folder in Inetpub
to allow write access for my account, I believe I reset the connectors from
ColdFusion to Global incase they were causeing conflict, yet I still recieve
that error... while I love sitting at work doing nothing, in this case I would
like to be Flash Remoting in ASP.net please please I am at a loss for what to
do...

Here's how I fixed it.
1. I uninstalled ColdFusion (ColdFusion because apparently there might be an
issue with connectors etc... and .NET), and everything to do with Flash
Remoting.
2. I deleted the folder called "FlashRemoting" in my inetpub/wwwroot
directory.
3. I installed the Flash Components again, only the ones for .NET and for
as2.0,I think I might have installed the main set as well.
4. I reinstalled ColdFusion, and set it to work with IIS.
5. I reinstalled Framework 1.1

I went to the inetpub directory and it was nolonger called "FlashRemoting" but
"flashremoting" and all my examples etc.. work now.

Hope this helps all you who have the same problem, and get no responses to
your pleas for help.
