I'm trying to install flash remoting on Tomcat 5 / W2kS / Java 1.4 In fact, I'm porting an application to this platform, and I don't have good access to the flash sources, but I have all the server-side stuff. As well, I have a valid license code for flash remote. When I first trigger a flash-remote interaction, I get a response from the gateway servlet which includes: "Macromedia Flash Remoting MX is operating as a developer edition." I'm sure that there is an exception being thrown in the custom Java - I've mounted the whole thing with the openAMF gateway and seen the actual exception - But my question is: What does this message mean? Does it mean that I haven't got my license info ( frconfig.txt or license.properties ? ) properly configured? Or is it just badly placed? Is it a mistaken response to the thrown exception? Or is it a barrier warning: "Go No Further"
No the message is telling you that it just will accept request fromj the local address 127.0.0.1, so you must place the .txt file generated with a valid license, just place this txt file the same place where you have the REMOTING JAR, restart tomcat and see if works, if it does not, you will have to wait for few hour until TOMCAT get to know the serial number, i dont know why you have to wait this time but i had installed maybe 20 servers and i have to wait for that to rok, regards, Adrian Cadena Feel free to contact for more questions.
