macromedia flash flash remoting: I am new to Flash/DB integration, so if this is in the wrong place, please let
me know..
I am creating a web page for a client, I want to have a swf on a web page that
has a dynamic text box in it, I want that text box to return a value pulled
from a MySQL database (PHP) that corresponds to the record that is being pulled
up for the page. So that when the vistor goes to a detail page, the name of the
item appears in the SWF.

Any suggestions? I'm pretty much going crazy trying to figure this out.

Thanks in advance.

If you are using PHP, take a look at http://www.amfphp.org

If you're still developing in Flash MX, PHPObject is a good choice. Check

Are you using MX or MX2004(professional). Your options may be different based
on the tool. I have had success with a Macromedia solution of MX and
coldfusion MX via FlashRemoting using MSAccess and MySQL data. I have also
used MX2004 using the new components.
I have never used the PHP options. I use Datagrids that may pose some
problems unless you can handle the DataResolver controlling the data
modifications(inserts/updates/deletes).

Hope that helps
