macromedia flash flash remoting:
I have Flash MX 2004 Pro version 7.2 and using ActionScript 2. I installed the
Flash Remoting on this development machine. I have Cold Fusion MX 7 running on
Windows 2003 IIS. My CFusionMX7 directory is D:\CFusionMX7 and my webroot is
D:\Inetpub. I looked in the administrator at the /gateway mapping and it
points to D:\CFusionMX7. There is a folder in my CFusionMX directory named
gateway. As far as Flash goes. I'm testing with a simple HelloWorld.cfc and
it sits right there on the wwwroot at D:\Inetpub\wwwroot\ One problem is that
I could not get the files to import correctly into the swf. But what I did was
drag and drop the remoting components onto the stage then deleted them so they
were in the library, I read that this would give all the correct classes.
However I cannot get HelloWorld working, I just get a blank white screen. Any
ideas on what I am doing wrong? Thanks

I have it working now.. The only thing I can think I did wrong was I wasn't
importing any classes. I thought they were imported automatically by dragging
and dropping the remoting classes then deleting them.

Do you know what you did?

I could send you the .fla and the .cfc files if you'd like.. In order to get
the classes to import I had to drag and drop the remoting classes from the
common library -> remoting panel, then deleted them from the stage. Then I put
the .cfc at the root of my website and the .swf found it just fine. What's
your email?
