macromedia flash flash remoting : Update a database using flash

Hi, thanks for any information in advance.

I am trying to create a flash application that on a click of a button updates
a value in a microsoft access database.
The program is a test page that asks the user a number of questions, like can
you here sound etc with the option to click either a yes or no button.
Depending on which button they press it exports a value in a database.

The database will be connected to a server.

I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction or give me any
ideas. I have read about using coldfusion to update databases is the best
solution

Thanks

if that's the only use of the database and you're running an IIS web server I would just call an .asp page with the value(s). Within the .asp page you could open the database and save the value(s).

Firstly, thanks for your reply. However, the test page has to be flash as it
allows us to check and see if the user has flash installed on there system. Is
there a way of connecting to a database directly or do you have to use an xml
connector
Thanks
