Is there a way to use cookies or sessions with flash remoting?

A simple "hello world" example with sessions or cookies and flash remoting
would be great.

I have an application that is written with flash being the gui and cfc's being
the functionality. Currently with every remote call from flash I also pass the
user name and password and re do the whole authentication proccess. I would
like to be able to use the <cflogin> framework and only have to authenticate
the user once and then have it maintained through the session.
