Hi, Im developing a game which uses flash remoting.
However It has stopped connecting when the flash is run through a web browser
on the remote computer, but WILL still connect fine when the swf file is run
using the stand alone player.
Are there tighter security settings on the latest versions of remoting? What
can i do to regain contact??

i'll ellaborate a little more.
I was using the old style flash remoting, and when it all changed a few months
ago I updated the code using the "quick fixes" rather than re-write it all to
the new type.
Im not sure if I fully tested the remote connection at that point but all I
know is that at the moment the remote client swf cannot connect to my site
unless it is run from the stand alone player with "trust this file" on.

Has the security in flash remoting simply made my code redundant? Do I have to
rewrite it all?

Try tinkering with a crossdomain.xml file on your remoting server.

Thanks for the help. I think Ill just host the whole thing on one site, will
make things much easier. I was having the flash call a database I hosted
locally for the sake of not having to pay for a CF host, but CF hosts arent so
expensive now.
