Hi, I'm posting on behalf of my girlfriend who is currently working on Saturday morning in her pyjamas. She is designing a web browser based CD ROM using the free download of Flash 8 Proffessional and is unable to link 2 fla documents together for display on a CD. When she highlights the text or button & add a clocal link to the properties > link field control > test Movie and click on her link the internet ecplorer says "cannot find file:///cl/document...." (error message) Is there another way to link these files for display on a CD ROM? Can this be done in Flash, if not, what software is reccomended for a CD production? She has tried copying her work onto dreamweaver loads is missing off the screen and it would not be acceptable to her employers customers. She has been trying to resolve this issue for 4 frustrating hours so any help would be appreciated. Her deadline is Monday, but she's due to be with work tomorrow on a team building climb up a mountain. Any help would enable her to have at least half a day off work this weekend! MAny thanks in advance for your help! Many thanks!
:confused; I don't understand what is your problem, maybe you can give more details. If you are doing a website for a cd-rom and iu want to display a flash content iu shuld link a Flash-movie like a "SWF" no the "Fla" File.
I am trying to create a training cd which displays movies for each topic. Whilst trying to create a cd what I have succeeded in doing so far is: from each page I have linked the movies together and linked the buttons with the movie as 'seek to cue name' I have linked separate pages by using 'load external movieclip' and I have published each page as projector files. This is working, but is it the correct way to do this? Will I run into problems with file size using this method?
