I feel kinda dumb :confused; ....but I installed trial for Flash Com and read
the documentation for like 2 hours, then I noticed I had every file that the
docs talk about....EXCEPT FlashCom.exe
What the hell? how do I test FCS if there's no server to connect to? :confused;

There is a server. If you're using windows, go to start - all programs -
macromedia - flash communication server - start server. And you server starts
running. To make sure its running, go to one of the examples in the flash comm
folder. Open up two of the examples in internet explorer, and test. Hope thats
clear??
