Ok our company has a license for Flash Communication Server 1.5 for 500 max
connections and 10 mbps.

How does this new Flash Media Server 2 effect us?

Can we use the new version with our current serial number?

Do we need to update to the new version?

Is there any realize to update?

Will Flash Comm 1.5 still be supported?

Thanks!!!

If you are happy with the performance of FCS 1.5 and don't need additional
capacity or the new features of FMS, you don't haveto upgrade (if it ain't
broke, don't fix it).

If you choose to upgrade to FMS, your FCS 1.5 license will not work with the
new version. you'll need to buy an upgrade license. Keep in mind that the user
capacity/bandwidth allowance scheme has changed with the new version. See both
the macromedia site ( http://www.macromedia.com/flashmediaserver ) as well as
the following link to understand the new scheme.

Licensing

I don't know about continued tech support for FCS 1.5, but I have been told by
MM Customer service that FCS 1.5 licenses will not longer be available, other
than the licenses MM Resellers already have in stock. That means that if you
want to increase user or bandwidth capacity, you'll have to upgrade.
