macromedia flash flashcom : Drop Frames in Live Encoding

Hi there,

we have encountered a severe problem (at least for us) with the live video
encoding.
When complicated video material is encoded, the live encoder starts dropping
frames.

It seems that this is not a hardware-related problem, since the cpu usage
stays under 50%.

So it must be a problem with the encoder itself; we tried various settings of
Size, Quality etc,
but with some video material, the encoder does not deliver the requested fps
(we want 25 Frames per second).
Is there a trick how to convince the live encoder to provide steady 25 fps
encoding?
We tried for example to set Quality to 0, so that the encoder varies quality
depending on the video material,
but this also does not do the trick.

I hope to hear some suggestions - has anybody out there experienced similar
problems?

Additional question: Does the Flash Player Encoder support Dual Core
Processors, or are we better off with a high speed single core processor?

thanks

thomas
