On my local network I can access the server just fine and eveything is peachy king. (the server is on a RH Lynix with ports 80, 1111, 1935, and 8500 open). However, when I have my router forward these same ports (from the internet), I can not connect to the FCS/FMS from the outside world. I assume these ports are used to establish a connection which is then moved to another port. If so, I should have to open some additional range of ports to be forwarded as well. Is this correct or am I barking up the wrong tree? If so, what is the valid range of ports I need to forward? Additionaly, I was uner the impression that 1111 or 8500 was used for the FCS/MCS admin consol. Is that true as well? If so does the admin consol need an additional range as I can not connect to it outside the local network either.
Hi, First Is this FCS/FMS 1.5 or 2 I have 1.5 on one box and it works fine from outisde the network but 2.0 does not (i think this is a developers license restriction). The ports you have are fine (and that proven since they work within your local network). If you have FCS/FMS 2.0, you might want to try it with 1.5 on another box and see what happens. If the problem still persists, your ISP might be blocking ports.
