Just wondering if it is at all possible to get FCS running on Mandrake 10.

In my somewhat limited experience, most applications seem to be
non-distribution specific. I was thinking maybe it's just a matter of
modifying the install script (which is out of my league).

Anyone have any success installing it on a non-red hat distribution? Able to
share the secret?

After a few days of attempted installs, I finally got it installing and
communicating. Seems as though unextracting TAR files in XP then xferring
them to the Linux box corrupts the SH scripts. Took me awhile to work it
out - I thought it was a permissions error that was causing the havoc.

Also, kudos to Muffin Research for your custom install script.
