Hello Peter,
I don't have high experience with FlashCom in Linux, but I guess I can
try to help.
* Check the space reserved to the log files in the server.xml.
* I think the "admin.swf" could not working becausa it must be "served"
by an http server. Check if you have an http server installed on machine
and if it's correctly configurated to publish the folder that contains
the admin.swf (and the other files, like htmls, etc).
* Install the extensions for the Flash (MX or MX2004, take the correct
version) on the machine that will be used to develop and try to use the
"communication inspector" panel to connect to the server.
It's just some tries. I hope it helps and sorry for my poor English.
