Greetings. I'm trying to get the live chat module of FuseTalk to function. It's supposed to use FCS, which we are currently using to stream video (about a gig per day.) The FuseTalk stuff is hosted on a CF server, and I can't get it to talk with the FCS server. The FuseTalk folks say that the CF code is good, and the problem must be in the FCS or the network. Going to the CFserver/flashservices/gateway returns a blank page, so it appears that the gateway is functioning. Opening the chat window from the CF application displays the SWF page from the FCS server, but no text on the buttons, and no functionality. After the SWF window opens up, going to the FCS Live Log window returns this message: (_defaultRoot_, _defaultVHost_) : Application (ftchat/2) is not defined. Going to the FCS Communication App Inspector: No Active Application Instances Hardware: Flashcom server: Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition Version 5.2 1 Gig of memory Flashcom: Flash Communication Server Professional Version 1.5 r118 CF Server: Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition Version 5.2 1 Gig of memory ColdFusion: CFMX Standard Version 6.1.0.83762 I would deeply appreciate any help you might have to offer. I'm not at all familiar with AS, but am looking forward to learning more. Thanks... Dan
I'm happy to report that we've pretty much got the chat module working. It turns out that we had a corrupt download of the 1.5 updater from MM. We uninstalled everything, reinstalled a fresh download of FCS 1.5, and everything worked fine. Took a lot of hair pulling before we figured it out, I've got to say.
