Hi, Im starting this thread in hope to get some answers to my questions. I`m monitoring some applications on our server and been wondering why there is a big differences in the measures I get with getServerStats and the total of my measures for all getAppStats!? My Flash communication application doesn't have any Stream neither SharedObject on the server. The only type of communications that exists are .call's to individual clients and Remoting call's (for logging purposes). Maybe a detail that might takes a sence is that the clients often connect and disconnect. (and they come back after a couple of minutes for a moment etc..) Can anyone explain me why I could end-up with more data transfered at the adaptor level compared to all transferes measured in all applications together! They should at least be similar (1-2-3% top) but I get values in the order or 20% difference in input and 65% in output (when i compare those values) Sincerely Fredz./
I've followed up on my tests and I've noticed that If you do a simple test of one application that connects and reconnect every second for example to your Flash communication server. There will be data sent at the server level (getServerStats)(Input & Output) but on the the other side with getAppStats you only get some output bytes measured. Zero bytes are measured in the input direction, at the application level. The problem is that this will give me erronous results And because of that, I do not know where to start billing the client, since there is no consistent way of measuring the bytes sent thruw one application. Sincerely Fredz./ PS: Id love to get some support on this issue but nothing seems to go thruw at macromedia`s.
