Hi,

I'm trying to convert flv to a common video format.
But I want to convert it realtime does anyone knows a possibility to convert
for example a webcam stream to a mpeg or something else?

I already use ffmpeg to make jpg's but it's still a time consuming way.

I would like to know how to do this as well. Also, is there any server
software that can convert MPEG to FLV on the fly? It would be cool if a Flash
video player could play both FLV and MPEG files. We are trying to integrate a
mobile initiative that would allow users to post videos from their mobile
phones to our community. However, these video files are saved as MPEG on the
phone and we would need them in FLV format to play them on our current site.
It would also be nice to be able to take the FLV back to a MPEG format so that
mobile phone users could play the video from a WAP page. Anyone know if there
is automated software to do such a conversion when a user uploads a video to a
certain directory of a server? Manually converting videos is really not an
option for us. We would probably just have to build/incorporate an additional
MPEG player (WMP) to play these videos, but it would be nice if it was seamless.
