Hello, I have a working broadcaster and receiver swf app that works fine using a USB logitech web camera. HOWEVER, I need to use a DV camera instead for a higher res image. *I have my sony DCR-PC1 connected to the pc with firewire. *The video DOES show in the windows explorer when I click on the DV cam device. *The selection for the DV camera DOES appear in the settings panel in broadcaster.swf * It CAN be selected but the video will NOT show, when I switch it from the USB cam Please Help with your knowlege Regards
I have the same problem. There seem to be some issues with windows xp service pack 2 but i also tried it with win xp service pack 1, windows 2000 and fedora core 3. And on all systems the usb camera works just fine but the firewire connected camera (jvc) did not. The firewire cams works great with other applications besides flash (at this moment). Hope there is someone out there who can assist.
Ok , Here is What I did To Make My Sony Dv Cam Work with Service Pack 2.... 1 Before You Install Service pack 2, Copy from Windows\system_32\Drivers\Ks.sys and Stream.sys and Msdv.sys Save to Tempory Directory 2 Install Service Pack 2 3 Turn Off System File Protection 4 Copy The Files You save to tempory Directory to Windows/System_32\Drivers Overwriting the Service Pack 2 Ones 5 Turn Back On System File Protection This Worked For Me ..... I Have asked to become a beta Test site for the new Flash 8.0 player witch should be released late summer and will be sure to check for they problem !!! Tom
