Flash Projector Firewall Issue w/ loadMovie & NetConnect

Flash Projector Firewall Issue w/ loadMovie & NetConnect Gleipnir

macromedia flash flashcom:
I am trying to stream FLV's and load SWF's from the net into a Flash projector.
The PC's firewall (Norton) blocks all data being loaded remotely until I allow
it several times at runtime. I have also experienced this problem loading XML
into an SWF from a Director Projector.

Is the sandbox from in Flash 6 the solution, or can FCS solve this issue?

Matt,

Try referring to your Norton documentation as to your firewall settings. Flash
Projectors are usually great with downloaded, external swfs.
Also, tthere could be a cross-domain-policy issue as to where you are
downloading your XML from (different or conflicting domain). Refer to your
flash help for that information, but since you are running Flash 6 (I am
assuming here), refer to macromedia's actionscript dictionary online.

Thanks for the reply.

I probably could adjust the firewall settings, however I was looking for a
solution that bypasses the firewall entirely. As far as the XML is concerned, I
implemented a policy file for the allowing of cross domain access with still no
avail.

I am have another option, a browser window launched by Dirctor where I can
pull the data.
