macromedia flash flashcom:
I'm using the Flash MX 2004 Media Playback Component.... how do i get the FLV
video i've referenced inside the component to BUFFER or Preload for about 10
Seconds before the video is played?
In other words my video plays too fast... it crawles at first and then plays
clean the 2nd time.

Is there an action script i can initiate inside FRAME one to get the SWF that
loads the FLV file to Buffer first?

Someone please RSVP with a link, action script to apply to the Media Playback
Component or a real world example when using Media Player Component.

Thanks in advance.

I am using an avi imported in my swf and running into the same problem. My
video streams "choppy" the first time through. I have recently learned about
using flv's and not clear if it helps in any way. Do you know if you can create
your flv with mutli bit rates or learned how to use a buffer yet? I think that
is the solution (buffering).

I will post the answer when I learn how to do it.

Do you know what the advantage is in using flv's as a replacement to avi's
before you convert to swf's?

FLV's stream a lot faster than AVI. A LOT faster.
