I have already posted this question, but have had no response. Seems like there
are LOTS of posts here that do not receive a response.
Anyway, I have installed the trial version of the communications server 1.5..
According to the info this comes complete with the communications components.
However I cannot find them in my flash mx 2004 authoring environment?
Where are they?

Hmm. load them as includes you say..
However I am trying to follow a tutorial on the macromedia site written by
Giacomo Guilizzoni, and title
Creating a Video Chat: Your First Macromedia Flash Communication Server MX
Application
To quote from the tutorial it says...
Open Macromedia Flash MX.
If it's not already visible, open the Components Panel (Window > Components).
Select Communication Components from the Component Panel pop up menu.
If it's not already visible, open the Property inspector (Window >
Properties).
Save your new (and still empty) application as firstapp.fla, in the same
folder you created (flashcom\applications\firstapp\) for the server-side code.
Drag a SimpleConnect component from the Component Panel to the top-left corner
of the stage.
Drag a SetBandwidth component to the stage and give it an instance name of
bw_mc in the Property Inspector.
Drag a ConnectionLight component to the stage and give it an instance name of
light_mc in the Property Inspector.
etc etc..
..Now this sounds like the compnents should appear in the components panel of
Flash MX...
These components, referred to above are not visible in my components
window...i am confused..
Any help?..

Ok I had this problem a long time ago..

Download the components:
http://www.macromedia.com/support/flashcom/downloads_updaters.html

Then go to your C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Flash MX 2004\en\First
Run\Components Folder
and place the communicationcomponents.fla there.

Start or restart flash mx they should be there.

Instructions on how to do this will be in the zip file.
